It derives its name from village between Lucknow and Malihabad where it was originated as a superior chance seedling. Size small to medium, oblong, ventral, shoulder higher than dorsal, beak and sinus absent, color yellow when ripe, skin thin, pulp fiber less, flesh firm, very sweet, flavor nice. Stone very small, oblong, variety good to very best, bearing heavy, mid season (July), keeping and peeling quality good in the 18th century, the Dasheri mango first appeared in the gardens of Nawab of Lucknow. Since then numbers of Dasheri plants have been produced and planted throughout India.
Banganapalli is a mango cultivar named after Banganapalli in India. Having Unblemished golden yellow, thin & edible skin, these mangoes are large, weighing on an average 350-400 grams and the pulp is full of fibers, firm and yellow with sweet taste.
A sub variety of the Anwar Ratol Mango, Late Ratol is another sought after variety just like the Anwar Ratol. Its slightly smaller in size but in terms of taste, texture and aroma it is simply top of the line.
Though not white in color, White Chaunsa has a slightly lighter yellow shade as compared to mainstream chaunsa but yet it is tasty with a rich aroma. It is just like the chaunsa but with an even sweeter taste and smoother creamier texture.
